Not a morning runner!!

Apr08201211:59 a.m.

...and hoping the adrenaline will help on the day.

The thing is I AM a morning person, even on days where I could lie in (rare with 4 children under 10) I get up between 530 and 630. I love mornings. But I struggle to run in the morning.

I have practiced morning running and  am going to use my taper to practice short morning runs when I can but my body says NO.

Despite this I ran 15 miles this morning and only at mile 9 did I start to feel fit and strong...maybe I will run a good marathon...warm up in the first half and zooooom the second half? Well that's what my mind tells me when I am in 'the Zone'. I'd planned to be out for 3 hours but was out 2 hours 5 minutes- boy did I run that last 6 miles. My play list was good too since my lovely hubby had bought me NOW 81. I wish now I had attempted a half marathon during my training but maybe next time.

My next challenge is how I am going to get to the start line on the day. As a charity runner I am in red start so need to get organised.

Only 6 runs to go now ...
