  • redsquirrel 'Hi Lynn, spotted your blog as I've just got my place in Edinburgh 09 too! It'll be my first marathon, I have done some running before but nothing like that distance. Is the 34 week training plan something you've worked out for yourself or is there a plan online somewhere? I've only been able to find 12 or 16 week plans so am kind of making it up myself at the moment! Thanks and good luck!' added 11th Sep 2008

  • LynnGallagher 'Hello! I merged a couple of training plans together and made a spreadsheet! Basically, since FLM I've had problems with a groin injury and laziness, so I'm pretty much back at square one. My friend I'm running Edinburgh with it a total novice, so the plan is from scratch. I can email it to you if you like if you send your email address - it might not work for you, but worth a look. I was worried if I didn't have a long enough plan I'd lose focus - I did FLM with a 16 week plan and found it way too short. Let me know if you want to check it out! Excited??' added 11th Sep 2008

  • redsquirrel 'Yes, very excited! I'm more or less back at square one as well, the last big event I did was the Moonwalk (also in Edinburgh) in June, so the running was abandoned for a few months in favour of walking, but I'm really looking forward to this next challenge. I'd love to have a look at your plan, thanks! I'll try and work out how to send you my email address (new to this site so still finding my way round!)' added 11th Sep 2008
