I have never run a full marathon. I've been running half marathons for a couple of years now, but that's no longer a challenge.

Living in southern Minnesota, I had my first option narrowed down to either Fargo or Des Moines. Since the idea of running a marathon is still a little initimdating to me, I want more than a couple of months to train. Hence, Des Moines it is!
