Baby Bore
Jun1520084 p.m.
Ok so for anyone who read my blogs before and is interested, here's my baby story:
I was due on 13 April (FLM day!) but went 10 days overdue. Felt like a huge whale with fat swollen legs and like I was NEVER going to have this baby but on 23 April at 2am I had my first contraction and by 5pm that afternoon we were the proud parents of Victoria. 9lb 2oz (ouch - thank goodness for epidurals).
Spent the first few weeks wondering what had hit me (notwithstanding the fact I couldn't walk properly for about 10 days and was severely anaemic) but as everyone says (and I didn't believe them, if fact i didn't think I'd survive that long) we turned a corner at 6 weeks and things are much more settled now and I'm hopelessly head over heels in love with my gorgeous clever beautiful baby girl.
I put on 3 stone while I was pregnant, lost 2 stone giving birth and as I'm breastfeeding the weight is just dropping off. I'm now a stone less than I was pre pregnancy and all my old clothes look like clown outfits (not that I'm complaining).
I would put some pictures up but as I said on my previous blog I can't do it. Will try it in the blurb bit above.
God knows when I'll get out for a run again but I really enjoyed it today and that's enough for me. Happy running everyone!

Pete 'Good to hear from you again, and I'm pleased to hear everything's going well - Victoria looks gorgeous!! I'm blogging very infrequently at the moment but still managing a couple of runs a week - doing the Jane Tomlinson 10K in Leeds next Sunday, but no races planned after that - maybe we'll get to run a race together one of these days? Best Wishes Pete' added 15th Jun 2008

Katymori 'Hiya, congratulations! You might remember me from a couple of years back... we were both starting out on this running and blogging lark, looks like you had more satying power than me :-) I got married this year on the 7th of June (used to be Katy Stowell) Well I'm back again - this time as a Moriarty ;-) Anyway - congratulations again and I'll keep an eye on your blog' added 2nd Jul 2008
