Bitterly, bitterly cold

Stayed up till 11.30 last night reading Marathon News - I am now really looking forward to the big day, although the more you find out the more questions you have. I keep worrying about what to wear to keep warm at the start, where my family should stand, how to get home - and many other things besides.
Still found reading it was a huge inspiration this morning as the weather was anything but conducive to running. Very, very windy and absolutely freezing. I looked like a complete maniac out running today. At one point the 30 mile north easterly wind was practically bringing me to a standstill which was making me laugh out loud.....Maybe I am completely losing the plot after all.
Did a 7 mile slow run today which went OK - knee fine again (obviously what I really needed was a good knees up - excuse the pun - like we had on Saturday night). Saw the osteopath in the afternoon and he signed me off which was great. Actually it was quite an amusing encounter what with one thing or another. Halfway through, I'm lying on my back having my leg massaged and Jamie who had had to come with me announced clutching his crotch that he needed a poo. At which point I leapt off the bed, pulled my trousers on and ran out of the room apologising to Patrick! Later on he asked me if I ever did anything slowly..... He also rather flatteringly (bearing in mind he's only 26) called me 'young lady'. When I commented on this he told me I wasn't exactly over the hill to which I replied that I often felt it! IT will be really funny if I do see him at the finish line where he is marshalling.
