Staying injury free that's the key

Feb2720112:51 p.m.

A strange day, the organisation at the Gade Valley training run was spot on as usual and the mud on the tow path whilst a nuisance at least meant there was plenty in the tank for the second half of the race.

The strangeness came from a meeting on the way back to the car with a jogger who just stopped to chat. The conversation only lasted a few moments but during the course of it this displaced australian, enjoying the rain (seriously he claimed to have seen too many sunny days) made just one statement "staying injury free is the key".  He was then off on his 40 minute jog and that was that, most surreal, almost as if he was sent 12,000 miles to deliver a warning.

Do I now just wrap myself up in cotton wool or head off to Great Bromley for the 20 mile race next Sunday? I just don't know.
