Thanks for the comments, I feel better already! Actually, I've been very commited this week. As it's the hols here, I'd signed my daughter up for a week of activities, an hour every day (with her approval, of course, I'm not kicking her out into what is essentially cheap babysitting ; - ) ....so while she's been doing football//potted sports/athletics etc, I've dedicated that hour to running. It's amazing how quickly you can feel a difference. I've chosen routes with plenty of pretty steep hilly sections, it's been hard work but in only 3 days I can feel the benefits. I'll do the same for the next 2 days and then see what kind of long run I can pull out of the bag at the weekend. I'm hoping for a decent 10-12 miles, but we'll see. I assume I still have a reasonable degree of latent stamina from previous efforts, and given that with all the nightmares leading up to Loch Ness last year, my longest run was 10 miles 5 weeks before the event, then i should be ok! Oh, and who else is loving the Apprentice??!

a_bet_made_me 'With all of that you'll be a tasty lean rasher along with the voluptious Miss Piggy we know and love!! As i don't eat meat you're safe with me!!! Good luck with the planned LSR at the weekend, take it easy, the legs won't have forgotten 26.2 miles, but they might not like you taking them for a sprint!!! Best wishes, and great to have you back!!!' added 3rd Apr 2008

Moby_Dick 'Wotcha kiddo, glad to see you are back in Blogsville and pounding the streets again. Have been v lazy since FoD and even wimped out of the local 10k I mentioned. Ooops! Re: the Apprentice, am sooo loving it already. That girl got truly shafted last night by Cousin-of-Evil-Katie. No wonder Sir A has to house them in a converted factory - it's the only way to fit all those egos under one roof. We like Mr Soldier Boy aka the Laundry King. Actually seems quite normal! Been getting blank emails from you by the way, so not sure what news I might have missed out on. Bloody technology for you I'm afraid. Talk to me about the autumn! The Fat One x (truly, even my mother passed comment after I lined up against a dozen other slim jims on Sunday. Am now on liquid diet - nothing but diet coke and wine shall pass my lips from here on in...)' added 3rd Apr 2008

Jogging_Jon 'Hi Miss Piggy Good luck for next week. I am sure you will be just fine. Sarah and I will be down to give as much support as we can to all the runners and especially to anyone we know. We will be at the fetcheveryone support station at mile 22. What will you be wearing? We will tru our best to spot you, also if you need jelly babies, water, vasoline or an encouraging word come and see us at mile 22. You will spot the fetcheveryone station by the red and yellow balloons and lots of supporters wearing red and yellow fetch shirts.' added 6th Apr 2008
