Can't believe it's been so long! To sum up....pulled out of London because my training partner was unable to train due to work stuff (anyone been around these parts long enough to remember the TP saga last year??) Anyhoo, I'd always said that if I didn't get a ballot place this year I wasn't going to bother, but after that was persuaded by TP that if I took a charity place he would be responsible for the fundraising for both of us. Now....he has the kind of job (offshore) which isn't the most convenient for forward planning, and was going to be spending a total of 6 weeks in and around Namibia, so training was going to be sporadic at best. I just wish he'd thought these things through before he nagged and nagged me to take a charity place! I was so peed off when I had to contact the charity to cancel my place (and I had to partially lie, too) that I struggled to find the motiovation to run. And still am, although that's my own fault now. So the Edinburgh marathon is 8 weeks away....if I can make a huge effort to do some hard sessions this week I reckon I can still do it and get a good long run under my belt next weekend. I think it's been a vicious circle - the worse my running has become the less likely I've been to blog, but if I blog, I'm more likely to be motivated! Help!

trevorc 'Hi Miss P, Thanks for your comments & your so right i have been telling myself that weight gain could be down to muscle & body storing energy foods. I hope that you get you mojo back for running as you say its 8 weeks to Edinburgh so plenty of time to get back on form. Good luck.' added 31st Mar 2008

Brooksy 'Good to see you back ... shame about the FLM, but then we are the "Others" aren't we? Couldn't agree more on the blogging / running relationship; one definitely motivates the other ... so stay in touch with your training progress! Cheers!' added 31st Mar 2008

Jogging_Jon 'Hello Miss Piggy and welcome back. Shame about London, don;t don't worry there are loads of marathons to run (and most of them in my opinion miles better than London). I also really think that you should ditch TP for good, he has had far too many chances. As for Edinburgh; sure you can do it you have 8 weeks no problem now get out there and run.' added 31st Mar 2008

a_bet_made_me 'Miss P - a huge big welcome back!!!!! Stay blogging in a "Brucie" sort of fashion... 8 weeks? Yeah you can do it..... no problem!!!! As for TP, we remember all the distress caused.... you know what? If I were you, I'd have MY own plan I would stick to MY plan, and if TP wants to tag along that's fine... if TP wants to do something different, well, go your separate ways... don't let ANYBODY hold you back! GOOD LUCK!' added 1st Apr 2008
