Photo of Twisted Knee & Strapped Ankle

Mar24201110:14 a.m.

Did a test run this morning - 4 miles on my faithful treadmill.  Before setting off I had my ankles strapped and thought I'd celebrate the moment by taking some gorgeous photos of my legs !

My severely, inwardly twisted knees are definitely a sight to behold aren't they? Don't worry I am actually wearing some shorts Wink  !!!

I can't say that the treadmill experience was 100% pain free.  I did feel some discomfort around my left ankle / shin.  At the most extreme, when I first got started, I'd rate the pain as between 3 and 4 out of 10, and for periods of the running, only 1 or 2 out of 10.  I guess I will have to wait a day or so to see if the pain flares up again, post-running.

Not quite sure what to do in terms of further rest vs. light training.  Time scales are now very tight and don't know what's for the best really...  Only time will tell.

  • emmteeyess 'hmmm... no way to advise you on this. there's only you knows how it feels - but we all know how hard it is to say no - or - enough's enough. Just take it in easy stages and listen to the body. Cheers, MTS' added 27th Mar 2011
