Last week

Dec0620119:21 p.m.

This was the post I was supposed to add at the end of last week but with one thing or another it didn't happen. It's not very exciting anyway. After a heavy couple of days training on Monday and Tuesday last week, I came down with a stinking cold which made work hard enough let alone going for a run too.

The only running I managed to get in was with a couple of clients and they wern't much to say the least. The first was 2.5 miles at a slow pace and the second was another two mile run but with hill repeats. It was a bit of a struggle to make it look like I was fitter than them and the cough made is look like I was on twenty a day.

By Sunday I couldn't take it any longer and had to go for a run. I went with a friend but forgot to tell him that I needed to take it easy. He clearly had other ideas. It was a six mile loop but we had to get the first half done pretty quickly before it got dark. The first mile we clocked 6:45 and if i'm honest I wa blowing out of my arse. Me being me and not prepared to say "mate i'm struggling can we slow it down" I dug deep and kept going.

It was hammering down with rain which I do enjoy which gave me chance to try out my new OMM waterproof race smock (very good in case you were wondering). After a couple of miles I started to get into the swing of it and really started to enjoy it. Especially when it was clear that my mate may have been showing off at the start and was now slowing.

The last mile he dropped the pace and was me pushing. What a great run. I'll give it a coupe of days before this weeks blog and then will catch up.

I'm still not receiving email notifications so sorry if i've not read your blog.

I was receiving notifications again by Monday lunchtime. If it still isn't working for you then try emailing them ! Sorry you've had a cold. At least you'll be well for Xmas now! Glad the business seems to be thriving. I guess the worst thing for you is that you have to appear hale and hearty in your line of business no matter how lousy you are feeling! ' added 7th 十二月 2011

Your business seems to be going SO well which is wonderful - it is hard having to look like you're full of beans, fit and raring to go in front of clients though when all you really want to do is go home, lie down and pull the duvet over your head!' added 7th 十二月 2011
