This is my third marathon attempt - and it will happen this year!

For those who remember, my "Elvis" plans have been shelved and now it is about the running.

First attempt - broken foot!

Second attempt - hip bursitis!

Third attempt - it will happen!

Out of luck for London this year but let's hope for a place next year - in the meantime I have a place in New York in November this year.

I'm running for Katherine House Hospice where my mum spent her last days following her battle with cancer.

I miss you mum.

Building up slowly - I will make it this time.

I'll be applying for London 2011 knowing there is an Elvis suit hidden in my wardrobe....
