Slow but sure...

Touch wood training is going really well at the moment.
2009 came to a grinding halt when I had to pull out of the New York Marathon due to bursitis in my left hip and an abdominal hernia which was operated on just before Christmas.
Felt like pulling the plug on my marathon dreams after a pretty useless track record!
But somehow "doing a marathon" is still very much on my to do list!
So I've booked a place for New York on November 7th and I'm determined it will happen this year.
We flew out to support a friend in NY last November and I was blown away by the event - I have to do it!
Doing plenty of gym work following the operation - cross training, weights and treadmill running with just one road run per week at the moment.
Managed a 5 miler yesterday with no complaints from my hip so the signs are good.
Glad to be back on Realbuzz.
Take care,
Tez

PS Little Toby is growing fast!!

Keith_L 'So Telvis is on hold? Not surprising given your last few years mate. But well done for sticking at it You have had more than your fair share of bad luck so deserve a good run at NY this year. NY is as you know fab and if you enjoyed watching it you will find running it amazing - apart from early start' added 7th Feb 2010
