Morning Buzzers!

Been a week or so since my last Blog, and things have been ticking over on the fund raising and training without much intervention from me!! Been a bit hectic on the work and home front, so they have had to take a back seat! Can't believe its nearly October already - only seems a short time ago it was Christmas, and I had started my training for this years LM!!!!!

The charity I'm supporting is the Meningitis Research Foundation - they ran an awareness camapaign last week, focussing on the 14-24 yr old bracket. These are the 2nd most suseptable group after the 0-5's. I was lucky enough to be on TV twice!! Once on BBC 1 East Midlands News and again on ITV Central News! My first time on Telly, and was suitable nervous when the camera was pointed at me!! Still, it went ok I think, and lots of my friends saw me!

I am planning my own 'awareness' week for later this year, if all goes to plan. Given that MRF are focussing on the 14-24yr olds, I thought it would be a great idea to try and get the countries Universities on board, and to help spread awareness of what is a killer disease. It was nearly losing my best friend to Bacterial Meningitis while we were at Uni that has given me the aim to raise as much money as I can to fight it.

Well, another week is front of us, and I think I really must do what I have been telling myself I should be doing - getting out and running!! Only 6 months or so until April, and only a week until we get the dreaded VLM mag through the post!! I hope you are all succussful and get the mag you are hoping for (I know some that are hoping for the rejection one!!!)
