running, not the booze!
My original plan: Monday, easy run, Tuesday rest/pilates
My modified plan after yesterday's disaster of a run: Monday rest/pilates, Tuesday easy run
But today I found I was absolutely chomping at the bit to get out for a run. The storm had just passed, the air was really fresh and I was dying to get out there. So, I reverted to my original plan and went for a run. Nothing fancy, just a real easy slow 2 miles (still really paranoid about overtraining again!) It felt great, none of the sluggishness from yesterday. In fact I feel must less sore and invigorated from it so it obviously did me some good! So tomorrow will be my actual rest day, pilates in the morning before breakfast and no running!
Its a busy week this week and next, but I'm not going to let it keep me from my runs, even if I have to do them out of sequence or at stupid times - I'm a bridesmaid at my friends wedding Saturday, then Sunday I fly back to the states to visit my family for a week. Already roped my mom into coming up to the track at my old high school with me while I'm home to run/walk with me while I do some speedwork! Looking forward to it, even though its bound to be hot while I'm there. Maybe itll help be build some endurance!

kraftykat 'Well done, glad you had a good run. You sure have a busy week but I'm sure you'll squeeze a couple of runs in,, even if it's chasing your friend down the aisle! Have a good week' added 15th Jun 2009
