not very happy with myself

disappointed, sore, demotivated, frustrated... that about sums up my run today. i had a little bit of a headache before i set out but maybe i was also more exhausted than i thought, or maybe it was the heat and sun...but i had to walk after a mile. i then spent the next 3 miles in an inconsistent combination of running and walking...all at various speeds for various lengths of time. it was sluggish, my thighs were killing me and still are now. i know its normal to have bad runs now and then so im trying not to let this get me down but i must say this has definitely put a dent in my motivation. i decided to move tomorrow's run to tuesday to get a bit of rest in. i hope it goes better than today did.

  • kraftykat 'Hey we all have bad days. I always try to think that if I have a really bad run then the next one will be so much better as it can't get any worse! I think you're wise to rest up tomorrow - and then I'd just try a short slow run on Tuesday to get back into the swing of it. Good luck!' added 14th Jun 2009
