Reborn, invigorated and running strong

I very nearly didn't run tonight. Running late getting home and ready - partly due to procrastination - I got my kit on and was about to leave the house with little time to spare when I couldn't locate my trainers.
Frantic searching (and the clock ticking) and realisation dawned that I'd stuck them in the car along with my kit as there was a small window of opportunity to meet up with a friend and get some shots taken of me in running vest and silly hat for the website.
Trainers recovered, mad dash to sports centre and arrived just in time to hook up with Lee, my running buddy for a 5 mile trot - the reverse of the run we did together on Tuesday. We were joined (in part) by Barry, a club regular and one time 4.03 marathon runner who is doing London too and looking to break the 4hr mark.
His gait, our pace and his style jarred with lee and I who are pretty well matched - we like to run and chat and can sustain that over the 5 miles. Barry got the message and ran on ahead.
5miles, 49mins (faster than Tuesday) and both Lee and I were happy. Data: http://connect.garmin.com/activity/26730718
Saturday holds a short 3 miler and Sunday a 13 miler to complete the week on 26miles. The longest to date.
After the recent set backs, I'm definately back, stronger and happier and moving towards the big day.
