  • Not a good day for a double day

I was awake most of last night with a sore throat, blocked nose, headache and a high temperature - not good preparation for a double day.

After some Beechams I was feeling better and ran an easy 3.6 miles with Helen at lunch - it was very warm and humid at lunch but it helped clear my head. Josie and Debi ran a 4 mile route and both Matt and Ed went out separately but both did the 4.2 miles route.

Unfortunately within a couple of hours the air con had me back feeling blocked up and with a headache. I wasn't feeling good but knew I had the beginners group at the club tonight.

Tonight we ran a 3.4 miles route and for once it wasa continuous run rather than an interval session.  Again it was very warm and everyone worked really hard tonight,

This was the 8th week for the beginners and they're all doing fantastic, yes some are quicker than others but that's the way with any group of runners. All have them have run over 3 miles and some are even doing the Oldham 10k race on Sunday.

Hopefully I'll get some sleep tonight and be feeling better tomorrow!

    Happy running!
