Warm up before 10k training?????

Just started my 10k plan. It's so slow to begin with (just 16 mins) which was a little frustrating.Yell It takes me about 10 mins to get into the swing of the run. I am used to just doing 5 mins walking to warm up for 5k training but am wondering if, because its longer, I should start stretching out before as well as afterwards???

  • Alaistair 'Yep, reckon getting into that routine early would be very sensible, certainly would do no harm so long as its easy before and careful after. Have found a loosening walk before falling into the jog/run helps hugely.' added 9th Jul 2009
