Gutted, Runner 4439 won't be running..........

Mar2520099:01 a.m.

I still haven't got around to defering yet and it came back to haunt me big style on Friday. My registration pack arrived complete with red laces and registration form & running number.

The last race I ran was a marathon (sounds impressive)...10 months ago! I last ran out doors over 7 months ago........yet I was still absolutely gutted when the pack arrived! I could have been running the 2009 FLM, but I am not.

All your hard has been worth it, only 4 weeks to go, make sure you bloody enjoy!

The right achilles is still buggered and I feel like I have been!

  • Hat 'Awwwwwww Ruddy! Why haven't you deferred? Why are you torturing yourself? You will run again - there must be something you can do about that achilles surely? It can't be buggered forever can it? And nor can you!xx' added 25th Mar 2009

  • Johnf 'Get the deferral in mate and look ahead to next year. You've got 13 months to slowly build that mileage back up there.' added 25th Mar 2009

  • yarra 'What u need is blood injection therapy, but note what I say *very* carefully. U must have *two* interventions, each 2 weeks apart. (As for SA cricket captain Smith, with his elbow tendon prob). My error was only having one intervention, not knowing u need *2* to fix it.' added 2nd Apr 2009
