Heart Rate Coming Back

Well running has been going well lately, a fartlek session that I was enjoying till my calves tightened up to very tight - I realised that even during a fartlek session I would run long and not necessarily much faster or slower than my normal pace so on Monday I ran shorter and faster intervals. Then on Tuesday (that's today)! I ran a anerobic interval session with one of my clients.
Last week I ran a 1hr 35 min long threshold run & an interval session. I have also been loving my TRX workouts - The plan is to run well in the half marathon I am doing in September - so although I am not running fast enough at the moment I still have plenty of time to work on that. Also the strength (TRX) training will make my muscles stronger so they can work more.
I had been having problems getting my heart rate to the level it needs to be for threshold and interval runs & I know that I have cruise intervals coming up in my training plan. I got my heart rate up to my threshold rate of 171 last friday but only when running up hills, today it went over during the intervals - which is great. I think I have addressed the problem so it is coming back to where it shoule be, so maybe I can now start to keep it there - I will do a check on the exact figures when I do my resting heart rate again just to make sure I am trying to hit the right figures as for cruise intervals it needs to be high - my OBLA is 176bpm!
