Winter runs

Went out for club night on thursday which was supposed to be a 7miler but i cut short by about .5miles as i needed a wee! The cold weather has that effect on me, i've noticed now the nights are getting darker earlier just how cold its starting to get when i'm running, i don't like running in the cold so i'm going to have to watch out for taking excuses not to run.
Its the Cardiff Half marathon this weekend, which i'm not running but i'm hoping to go down and support, apparently this year there are 10,000 runners - i'll believe it when i see it, the local paper claimed they where aiming to compete with the great north run, having ran both races, the cardiff half have a very long way to go before they can compete with the great north. Cardiff organises its races all around road closures and if you were shopping in town on sunday you probably wouldn't even notice there was a race going on.

Keith_L 'The GNR is the GNR and no half in this country is ever going to rival it - whats the point? Cardiff ought to do its own thing. I love the cold (well as long as its dry) That crisp feeling when you go out then warming up pretty quickly as you run,. Enjoy the spectating tomorrow' added 17th Oct 2009
