Wacky weather
Jan2220125:29 p.m.
It's been a week of weather extremes, necessitating lots of kit changes to cope with freezing runs, mild runs, windy runs & soaking wet runs.
I've been making sure I appreciate being fit and healthy. I've got the odd ache & my legs get tired, but it's all very minor & I might go do far as to say I'm feeling "vibrant" as I heard Ryan Hall's coach once say ishow marathon runners should feel. Let's see how long it lasts!..
I did my first race today since my marathon at the end of November. I found the treble whammy of racing plus hills plus very strong winds, really hard. It was a 15 mile course of two laps and the second definitely felt hillier and windier!

I knew from a couple of comments that I was 3rd lady all the way round and then noticed on a sharp bend at around 12 miles, that another lady wasn't far behind, so I used Paula's mantra "nearly is not enough" [see "wet 'n windy" 7 Jan] which helped me accelerate and keep my position and win me a very nice crystal bowl - thanks Paula!
