Very easy 8 miles with the Little One

As per the last few days really. Little One gets up and says that she wants to go out in the JoggingBuggy with me but when the time came she changed her mind the 3rd day running and wants to stay at home with Mummy. Well, after a bit of bribery and a few white lies we persuaded her to go out with me on the promise of seeing lots of cats, dogs, horses, cows, ducks, tractors and trains! To be fair she did see most of what we'd promised and she did enjoy herself, plus we always go and see one of the neighbourhood cats that she can touchand stroke too which is always the highlight of her run.
So, back to todays run. A bright but rather fresh start to the day. Again, quite windy but a swirling, gusty sort of wind in no particular direction really. However, it was pretty much against me on the way out. Managed to get into a nice comfortable rhythm early doors which made the run very easy. Ran a very even pace at 60% WHR/HRR throughout. I hope that the rest of the week is the same. Again, quite a few other people out running this morning and all women too.
8 miles in 1 hour 13 minutes and 27 seconds. Average heart rate of 127 and a Polar PI rating of 68.
Away tomorrow night and Wednesday in the Guildford area. Not sure where I'm staying yet and whether or not I will have internet connectivity. Will start a mini-taper for Sunday now.

Firefly123 'I've raised my children on bribery! Good running, Sean and I'm sure TLO was pleased she went out in the end. Funny that it was mainly women out running this morning. I've only seen a couple of people out running today.' added 30th Aug 2010

Muffs 'Did my first run this morning with the baby jogger. Just under 5.5 miles and I was surprised how much harder itwas. Every hill feels like twice the size. I did really enjoy it though and so did my daughter. No toilet stops.Cheers for that it was you thatinspired me to get one.I thoughtshe would be a bit too big for on but there's bags of room. It's nice to be able to cram everything else in too.We got let down withthe baby jogger that we bought off ebay last week and have ended up with Macleren's version but really good. Pockets everywhere.' added 31st Aug 2010

TheFridayGang 'Just catching up with your blog! Ah, white lies & bribery - they work on children of all ages! (And good to see no mention of problems with toilet training?) All the best for Sunday - I'm sure it won't cause you any problems! Mandy :-)' added 2nd Sep 2010
