Didn't realise paintball was such a workout...

Sep2120096:19 p.m.

Finally got the new Brooks trainers and am going to ease into them tonight with a gentle run. Hopefully they won't take took much breaking in.

I had intended going out yesterday but got talked into being a late substitute for a game of paintball. By the time I'd had 3 hours of adrenaline action I was pretty knackered and bloody well bruised and covered in paint.

Didn't quite realise how much crawling on the floor commando-style (I don't mean without undies, before anyone starts!) actually tires you out. Both my arms and legs feel like they've had a good gym workout.

I took one shot full on the top of the head which hurt like hell, and there are more than a few bruises coming up on my legs and shoulder. I've come to the conclusion that painballing is for heroes, and I'm not one of them.

I did have good day at the Davis Cup tennis on Friday, and despite GB going down 3-2 overall in the tie, it was worth going, if only to see Murray before he ditches playing for GB in Davis Cup.
