Follow BBC presenter Sophie Raworth as she gives some insight into her training and other activities in her blog for realbuzz.

Sophie reads the news on BBC1 and has fronted various other programmes and documentaries including Panorama and Child of our Time. Sophie started work at the BBC as a trainee in 1993 and has been there ever since. At school she was a keen athlete and diver. In fact Sophie spent a year training with the British diving team when she was 16 (alongside the actor Jason Statham!) but then realised she was never going to throw herself off a 10 metre board and gave up.

Sophie also stopped running once she left school, but took it up again five years ago when she decided to do a half marathon. She completed a gruelling Virgin London Marathon in 2011 and ran again in 2012. Sophie is married and has three children and lives in London.
