Last Post For The Year

Hi
The initial plan was to wrap up the blog for the year with my fastest 5k time of the year. Instead the weather got in the way last Friday and put paid to my aspirations. Instead I am going to try and run the county cross country championships on the 11th January.
So what have I been doing for the last month? Running obviously. I have managed to average about 40 miles a week and managed to introduce so double day training which I will try again in the New Year. I even managed a cross country race, which I think is a first for about 10 years! In the end I managed 6th position and felt that if I was more confident at running xc I could have made third position, but we all have to learn sometimes.
On the home front everyone is ready for Christmas, the tree has been up for 2 weeks and the presents around it seem to grow on a daily basis. I think it’s quite a close competition between the missus and the kids who has the most! I definitely have the least, but I’m sure they have been bought with lots of thought.
