Exercising Brain Muscle

Week 3 hasn't been to plan. Things started well:
Monday: body conditioning class (v painful on the legs after the Sunday run but well achieved).
Tuesday: circuits class (new instructor, relatively light on activities compared to the usual one).
Wednesday: through the night I woke up with excrutiating pain in my neck and shoulders. Couldn't move my neck at all!! Needed to move around the bed with my arms and legs to get out of bed without putting strain on my neck... said to Z "my neck aches" to which she replied in her semi-slumbered state "yes, I've made cakes". You definitely can't get the night nurse staff!! A couple of paracetamols got me through the night but there was no way I was doing 3 miles at 5:30am. I needed my sleep and painlessly!
Thursday I am scheduled to do 5 miles before work but I think I m better to just get a full night's sleep and recover since I've got the Dartford 10 on Sunday and I'm supposed to be running with a friend on Friday. OOf!
