Shiny things

Hey

No running today, it being a Satur-rest-day, but I did go with Z to Body Balance at the local leisure centre. It's one hour of tai-chi, yoga & pilates, which is v good for core strength and balance. We also became full-blown members of the gym which means that in addition to the pool we can use the gym and all classes free of charge for a measly £72 per month for a couple. Glorious!

Also I went and bought myself some new trainers - my trusty brand - Saucony Grid TRIUMPH - v nice and unused. Will christen them tomorrow with an 8-mile run at 9:06/m pace. Not sure whether to go early - e.g. 8am - and get the whole thing out of the way, or take advantage of the gym membership and take a 'triple challenge' class - i.e. a mix of body combat, body balance and body pump. Could be interesting - and also at 10:30am gives us a chance to have a well-earned lie in!  Bring on those 8-9 hour sleep nights - yum!!
