Week 1 almost over
No running today, but the return to work for 3 days has knackered me out. Or probably the whole 4:30am start bit I haven't really recovered from. And last night we had a huge chinese meal, the second half of which we ate tonight. Yum! As a token gesture to healthiness, we did have brown rice. Ah well, what are you going to do!
So this weekend's regime is XT on Saturday which I will go with Z, chief cheerleader, to a so-called Body Balance class. This involves tai-chi, pilates and yoga. The best bit of this is 10 minutes at the end in the 'corpse' position, which is basically lying on the floor doing absolutely nothing. I am very good at that bit!!
Then its back to sensible running with an 8-miler at 9:06/mile pace. You know what I'm talking about with all this, don't you? Well, I might tweak this a bit and just do the running club's XC run - which usually lasts a couple of hours although involves a few stops and re-groups. There's no such regrouping on race day!!!
Also wanted to say a big thankyou for the people who have sponsored me so quickly and so generously. January is a difficult time for many and for some April seems a long time away. But it really makes a difference to me knowing that you are putting some trust in my ambitious plans to defeat London!! And it hasn't even started to snow in Orpington yet!!
Good weekend to you all. SW
