Week 2 complete

Jan1320086:05 p.m.

First, effort since the last posting:

1. Today - 8:30am 10-miler around Orpington. The planned route was here (http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/ ?r=1547667) but due to a series of wrong-turnings I ended up revising this slightly - this had it's benefits however as the GPS drumrolled the end of the session not 10 metres from the house! 

Then it was straight off to the gym to meet Z at the gym where she was finishing what looked like absolute chaos but was actually a circuits session. We then hit the pool for a cool down - I did 18 lengths and she did 16 - which I can point out is me doing 2 lengths more - har har!!

2. Yesterday - I went to the gym making full use of our new ultimate membership and went to an aerobics class. There were about 50 people there, and 49 of them had done the class many many times before. Therefore I was great amusement to them because when Vicky the instructor was shouting codes like "BOX LEFT" and "ROLL RIGHT" and "DIAMOND" everyone knew what to do including avoiding the guy who didn't have a clue (i.e. yours truly). This was followed by Body Balance - a session thankfully that I knew all about and was a good warm-down. Then we bought a set of hand-weights which I kindly carried 1 mile home. HMPH. Should have brought the car for that one!!

3. Friday - went to the gym at work for about 30 mins and did some x-training and rowing.

So needless to say I'm tired now and will now be making Tea, followed shortly after by bed. I'm reckoning on an 8:30pm sleep hopefully!!!  Z didn't even let me snooze this afternoon for more than 10 minutes because she had read somewhere that any more would make me groggy!!! Hmph oncemore.

Also am pleased to have notched up over £250 in sponsorship money - I am needing to write some thankyou e-mails to friends and colleagues, it really spurs me on. Cheers guys! 

The training week ahead for week 3 is not much different -

Mon: Body Conditioning (lunchtime)
Tue: 3m @ 9.06/m (am or pm depending on how sociable I feel) plus Circuits (lunchtime)
Wed: rest!
Thr: 5m @ 9.06/m
Fri: going for a gentle jog at lunchtime
Sat: Aerobics (this time choreo-perfect) + Body Balance
Sun: The Dartford 10M (that's ten miles, sports-fans!!)

Right, must go searching for French Onions.
