Introduction - Steve Canueto
There are so many inspirational stories on this site, I just wanted to be part of it..!
I am running the London Marathon (my first) in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support - and the generosity of my friends, family and supporters so far has been amazing..

I only really started running in June 2009 (with a 5k PB of 31 mins) and have stuck firmly to the training schedule since then, switching to a Marathon training schedule on Jan 1st - The training has been gruelling - but also has taught me so much about my body and how quickly your fitness can improve when you are TRULY dedicated, it has changed my life, and way of living, forever.
Longest run so far 18 miles in 2hr 25, still anther 18 and a 20 and a 22 to go before the big day, and running between 30 and 40 miles per week now... And the 5k? I did one today for fun - and it was 20.45 - 10 minutes quicker than when I started training..I never would have believed it could be that much quicker..
