About Nepal Challenge
Namaste Everybody!
Welcome to the blog dedicated to the highs and lows of trekking in Nepal - In 2008 and 2010 I did challenge walks in the Annapurna region and I kept a journal which has now become this blog. It is dedicated to all who have shared with me the physical and mental challenge of these treks.
I raised some sponsorship for a children's charity in Kathmandu on both treks and all the monies raised from sponsorship went directly to the Esther Benjamins Trust www.ebtrust.org.uk - a charity that works in Nepal with some of the country's most disadvantaged and vulnerable children. This includes children who have been the victims of human trafficking into bonded labour. A little goes a long way in Nepal - so any 'littles' you have (or even bigs!!) can be donated online by going to my sponsorship page at My Page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/StevenShears
Thank you in advance for your support to these children and I will try to update this blog with thoughts, photos, training walks and impressions from Nepal. Questions or comments can also be made on email to steveshears@btinternet.com
I might also add that should you be inspired by this tale and think "I would like to do a trek like this and support the work of the Esther Benjamins Trust" then please contact Emma Triplett at emma@hattitrading.co.uk
Best Wishes, Steve
