Dee's Personal Everest

April 4th Tadopani -Morning
The young German woman who had been airlifted to hospital wasn't the only person struggling that morning -Jo said that Dee was having similar problems and she did look really poorly. Having done this part of the trek before I also knew that the trail to Ghorepani was pretty rough in terms of the climb up there and it would take a lot of support and encouragement from us and the guides to help her make it. So really this was Dee's personal challenge to wrestle with her own physical condition, the heat and the grinding uphill walking for hours! However, Dee being made of stern stuff was doing well with it and Dan made sure that she was hydrating and resting when we made stops. The guides were brilliant and did their bit and by lunchtime she had made it up some pretty steep stuff and we were at a very respectable altitude. So far so good........
An example of the genre 'grinding uphill' -Sean leads the charge!
