The mule?......that would be the Mustang Pony then!

April 4th -Afternoon - heading for Ghorepani over the long ridge
The title of this piece was inspired by the fact that Dee was really getting too weak to make the rest of the uphill between where we had stopped for lunch and Ghorepani -as I remembered it the terrain was a mean rollercoaster along that ridge and as it happened I remembered it well! She decided to hire what I had mistaken for a mule and it turned out to be a Mustang Pony -Emma thus added to my equine knowledge and may have even tutted? I decided to cross off horse and pony recognition off my list of skills. The pony did it's job really well although Dee dismounted at the section going down into Ghorepani that was steep and full of stone steps - by that time the pony (see, said it again) had done the job nicely. We were now at Ghorepani and contemplating the pre-dawn climb of Poon Hill for the sight of the sunrise over the Annapurna Range -I was contemplating if I would have enough energy to make it at all!!
