Woo Hoo!

Oct2320069:16 a.m.

What an experience! Even with the rain. Have already registered for notification for entry for next year. Damn hard work - chafing on my shoulders and a blister about the size of a two-pence piece on the sole of my foot but I would recommend it to anyone. Completed in 1:58:36, which was a disappointment as I wanted to finish nearer 1:50, but I managed to run all the way round and found the energy to encourage those that were struggling! Well done to everyone else. I was on the web last night checking out everyone elses times and congratulatios in particular to Sharon Taylor and the Roberts sisters! I noticed that you all beat me though by a long way, but who cares! In particular I want to say thanks to all the spectators who cheered me on even though they didn't know me and I wasn't running for their charity. Also to all the Marshalls and police. Thanks everyone for standing out in the rain and geting soaked and chilled just to put on a spectacular event for us! Here's to next year!!!!

  • Lulu 'Thanks for your congratulations and well done to you...considering a a few weeks ago you weren't sure you were gonna make it you did fantastically. I was pleased with my time dispite my running partner not managing to find me at the start so I had to run my own race. we all like to tink we could run faster but it is a massive achievement just being there! Heres to next year!!' added 23rd Oct 2006
