    Big sucess!

    B: Meusli with milk
    S: Nutrigrain bar
L: Wraps with cheese, cucumber and homemade green tomato chutney
    S: Lemon drizzle cake
D: Pasta with pesto, chicken and veg

The reason I could eat so much today was that I did a fantastic fast run and also some cycling, earning me lots of extra calories.

    Another bad day

B: Museli with yoghurt and raspberries, juice
    S: Porridge with honey
L: Bangers and mash with carrots and cabbage
S: Nutrigrain bar, small piece of cake
D: Rye bread cheese and pickle sandwich, nutrigrain bar

The intention was to have the porridge but to go for a yoghurt only at lunch.  But the sausages looked so inviting and the serving was huge!  I should have burnt it all off during swimming last night but I didn't go, so about 300 cals up on the day.

Today is going to be a challenge.  I'm off work, which means that I will probably nibble more than I should.  We don't have anything bad in the house which means that I will end up nibbling on high calorie, but healthy stuff such as sandwiches and cereal.  Must resist...

    Yesterdays food

B: Museli with milk and raspberries, fruit juice
    S: Nutrigrain bar
L: Jacket potato with salad, yoghurt, dried fruit and nuts
    S: Flapjack
D: Wrap with humous, cheese and salad

This is fairly typical of my eating recently (except on days when I ahve been having a fried breakfast and then only a yoghurt for lunch).  I shouldn't have had the fruit and nuts or the flapjack, then I would have been inside my caloire quota for the day.

Here's hoping for a better day today.

    Reporting back

I've not been logging my food here as I have been struggling to get the balance right, and it's been getting me down.  Writing it down only depresses me even more.

I'm not doing the level of exercise that I was a month ago so have had to cut back drastically on the amount I eat and nearly every day I have been 200 cals or more over

But at the weekend I weighed myself for the first time in about a month and I had lost about 3kg!  That officially brings me below the 80kg mark, and to the lightest I have been in over 6 years!

Maybe I will start logging again now that I am in a better frame of mind.  Not today though, too much else to be getting on with.

    Keeping it up

    Yesterdays food:

    B: Porridge with sultanas
    S: Chocolate cereal bar
L: Out for a bbq, but I took rye bread and made a sausage sandwich with salad.  Two glasses of wine
    D: Raspberries and pineapple

    Exercise: None

Came in a little over quota but within my +/-200 cal allowance

    Todays food:

    B: Porridge with sultanas
    S: Nutrigrain bar
L: Out for dinner with the family - spinach and feta filo parcel with new and roat potatoes.  Resisted starter, dessert and wine
    D: Chicken burger and chips

Exercise: 5 hours of doing a builders clean on the house.  Scrubbing certainly burns a lot of calories!

Burger and chips was comfort eating because I am in a lot of pain with my shoulder / neck.  However, bacause of the mammoth cleaning session I was still within calories for the day.
