Blankety Blank
Mar04201011:28 a.m.
A lovely sunny day, but still mighty nippy. Not much enthusiasm this morning and I have to say that if the sun hadn't been out I doubt I could have forced myself out of the door. It was nice to have my 8 miles behind me yesterday so just 5 to do today.
Absolutely nothing of interest passed me by today. In fact I don't think I thought about much at all, which must be a relief to all of you persevering with my blog!! It all seemed a bit of a blank. I took my jacket off at 3.5 miles as I had warmed up nicely and that is all I remember!! I wonder if you can overdose on Strepsils that might explain the blankness?
In the end I did 5.48 miles in 55:39 so a pace of 10.09 m/m. Quite please with that. A lovely rest day tomorrow and 8 on Saturday following by 18 to 20 on Sunday if I feel up to it. Then a set back week next week in the run up to Silverstone on the 14th - eek!
Enjoy the sunshine if you have some, its quite a novelty to be able to get some washing dry - the bottom of the laundry basket is in sight.
Happy running all xx

squa25 'Good stuff on getting out there! Silverstone willbe grea, sounds like a massive race but yeah, best to keep the BIGGER picture in mind. It's to easy to do something stupid, just keep reminding yourself of the end goal! Thanks for the advice on swimming. I may go for a swim this evening, but the pool isn't open for general use until really late in the evening as they have swim club and all sorts on before, so will have to see. Seems I'm more tired not running than when I am running. I just want to sleep the whole time. ' added 4th Mar 2010

simonedumergue 'I like the idea of running on auto pilot :-) Well done - your running week is shaping up well. Sounds like a huge weekend to get through thoug, but you're well on track. Still waiting on my orthotics but as my shins have felt absolutely fine for days and days now, I am going to venture out in the sunshine for a run this afternoon. I can stand it no longer!' added 4th Mar 2010
