The countdown begins!

Jun22200810:59 p.m.

I had a phone call from Fred (my pilot) tonight. He wants it to go ahead on Tuesday morning - sometime before 3am. I'm ready but I'm still having a nightmare organising my support team. They all seem to be working! Paul is definitely coming along as my support swimmer. Neil should be there also, but everyone else probably won't be able to make it!

I spoke to Keith tonight, my official observer. He may be able to provide a helper for me. I really hope so because my swim really does depend on it. Like I have always said, I can't do this on my own - I need the help of others. It really is a team event.

I'm feeling confident in myself, but just need my support to be there to help me through this.

  • chubby_chick 'I've just read Theresa's blog who directed me to your blog..... think you've been missed in 'Random'. Quite frankly Mark with such a challenge reckon you should have a blog section all of your own. Just want to echo the above, am also in awe.......... GOOD LUCK. l X' added 23rd Jun 2008

It's an amazing thing to do, and one that I would like to do one day - so I may be picking your brains once you're back. Will be keeping fingers crossed for good weather!' added 23rd Jun 2008
