Team Hocking Marathon Attempt by TeamHocking

On Friday evening we held a fundraising Valentines Ball in Exeter. It went really well - we had 60 guests for a 3-course dinner. Then we held an auction of items that had been donated by various local businesses and individuals. And for the rest of the evening we had fantastic music by Taylor and the Made Gentlemen and danced the night away!

From a fundraising point of view it was also really successful and we've raised around £1200 from the event. So we're getting there - Just another £3000 to go now!

We all wanted to say a few thank you's here to everyone who made the evening so successful. So here comes the Oscar speech!

•    Thank you to Tina Bennett who secured the venue for us, helped us with the advertising, organised some of the auction prizes and generally provided us with lots of help and advice.
•    Thank you to Tanya Hocking (Tom’s wife) who spent hours on the phone persuading companies to donate item for the auction.
•    Thank you to everyone who donated items for the auction: Woodbury Golf Club; EDF Energy; Pizza Express; HQ Hair and Beauty; Peppers; ASK; Exeter Chiefs; A colleague of Tina’s who donated a diamond necklace; Holiday Villas Morocco who donated a holiday.
