Hello realbuzzers! Hope you are all well and enjoying the festive period. Today at realbuzz HQ we have been talking about what we would like to change about ourselves in the New Year. If like us you think the New Year should be about trying out new and interesting things, then maybe you’d like to join us in customising your realbuzz profile to give it a new look for 2012. In today’s blog we’ll be telling you about some of the great ways you can make your realbuzz profile as unique and interesting as possible.

New Year, new look

Have you picked a theme for your realbuzz profile yet? If not, what are you waiting for; don’t leave your poor profile naked for 2012. Themes are a great way to make your profile stand out, and can serve to give people a quick impression of what you are interested in. Simply click on ‘Edit Profile’ and then select the ‘Customise Profile’ tab and you will be given a range of themes to choose from for your profile.

Clicking the check boxes will give you a preview of how the theme and skin will look on your profile, so you can test them out and find which one you like the most before saving your changes. There are loads of great themes to pick from, and even more are available to realbuzz club members, so there is sure to be something for everyone.

Moving boxes

Another way to make your profile perfect for you is to choose what content you want to appear on your profile. By using the tick boxes in the ‘Customise Profile’ tab you can select what goes on your profile and what doesn’t.

You can even choose in what order this content is displayed on your profile by clicking and dragging the boxes on your My Buzz page. If you find some great new routes during your 2012 running adventures then you can put the Maps & Routes box right to the top of your profile so everyone can see them. Got an embarrassing video or picture of your drunken dancing at a New Year’s Eve party? Maybe it’s best to move your Videos box to the bottom of your profile if it’s just that little bit too shameful. Don’t worry we’ve all been there; Footnote, we are looking at you.

Email Preferences

There are always plenty of things going on with realbuzz, so you can’t blame us for sending you an email every now and again. However, we realise that it’s important to have control over what emails you receive, and that’s why we’ve given you the option to customise this on the ‘Email Preferences’ tab.

Tick or un-tick the relevant boxes to choose which emails you do or don’t receive. By doing this you can make sure you don’t receive any emails you don’t want from us, and still never miss out on anything that you are interested in. However we should tell you; choosing not to receive our realbuzz newsletters may result in a drastic reduction of interesting health and fitness info in your inbox. You have been warned...

Season’s greetings

To round things off we would just like to wish all our faithful realbuzzers a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We’ve had a great time this year, with a lot of exciting new developments and additions to the site, and we couldn’t have done it without you. We’ve got plenty more great new stuff in line for you in the New Year, and we hope you’ll all be joining us for a healthy and fun filled 2012.
