Wall of Fame and share your Pain & Shame with two new walls

Oct26200911:27 a.m.

If you didn't already know, all realbuzz.com members have a Wall of Fame which allows them to award themselves digi medals for their healthy living goals and achievements. The medals cover all different types of challenges from running a mile, or losing a stone in weight, to travelling in different parts of the world.

These digi medals are published on member's My buzz and public profile page.  The idea behind the Wall of Fame is to act as motivational tool, so you can see your achievements  stacking up, and also to let other realbuzz.com members know the challenges you have completed, so they can find people with similar interests, seek and share advice etc. But the team at realbuzz.com weren't happy with just one wall, so we have added two more; one to chart your pain and one to chart your shame.

Wall of Pain digi medalThe Wall of Pain
The Wall of Pain allows you to select 'Pain' digi medals for challenges you are currently working towards, but not yet achieved. Once the challenge or goal has been achieved, you can award yourself the 'full' medal on their Wall of Fame. The idea behind this is to help you to stay focused on your challenges, and you'll be able to network with other realbuzzers that are aiming for the same goals as you.

I've drunk too much Shame digi medalThe Wall of Shame
On the flipside, the Wall of Shame allows you to 'come clean' or confess about your healthy living misdemeanours by awarding yourself 'Shame' digi medals.

And, you can only remove shame medals when you feel you have redeemed yourself.  This is a light-hearted approach to the sometimes difficult task of improving one's lifestyle and we hope it again acts as a motivational tool.

So, to check out the new walls, hit the My buzz button top right (you need to be logged in) to take a look and start adorning.

We look forward to seeing your digi medals - fame, pain and shame!

Tim

Oh, and don't forget to post your feedback on the changes here, or email geeks@realbuzz.com direct.

  • The_realbuzz_team 'A note to RoadKillers – all the new apps I have mentioned here come with a standard realbuzz.com account , which is free. All you need to do is log in to start using the new My buzz and the Walls. And, looking at your profile, it’s good to see you have added some medals already. Johnf – I’m with you on that, there was much deliberation here in development meetings as to what we considered to be Fame, Pain or Shame – interesting meeting that one, similar to establishing the realbuzz.com profanity filter – that’s always eventful. • Flanker2 'Tim, I wouldn't worry about the profanity filter anymore! everyone on here is such a potty mouth, I can't see the point!.............besides, most of them can't spell properly and those that can have had the intelligence to miss-spell in order to fool the machine!........Would definitely filter out Johnf's dirty tackle tho!!!!...Sounds revolting...' added 27th Oct 2009
