Rubbish week, rubbish sunday run!

Jan1520129:02 p.m.

Another week done.  Training has been rubbish.

I had some sort of illness on Tuesday and Wednesday involving a lot of vomit so my first run of the week was 9KM on Friday

The run was nice and slow with some work friends but I was feeling some slight pain in my right shin

On Saturday I went for a very gentle 6KM run in beautiful sunshine and again I could feel my shin.

Today was meant to be my long run.  I had planned a hard 15 miler.  I know that I probably should have scrapped the run as I have been ill and with the slight leg pain but I thought I would just go slowly and get the miles in.

Well I ran the first hard 10KM ( which has a large hill section) OK but as I headed off to the village of Bramber I just seem to run out of motivation.  I don't know what it was but I just couldn't seem to make myself run!  So I walked for a bit, probably about 1KM and then set off again.  I felt OK and ran another 3KM no problem and then I stopped again but this time I just felt like I had no energy, so I decided to cut the run short, down to 20KM.  But the last part was mostly walking

All in all a rubbish performance.   And now I am sitting at home and my calfs are killing me!  The right one which was niggling is now quite painful, I would guess a shin splints and my left calf is also sore.

So all in all not an ideal week.  I am in Prague all of next week and I am not sure what to do with my training now.  I need to get some miles in for Tokyo but at the same time my legs feel like they could do with some time off

I'd DOOMED! ;o)
