Its official, I have lost 31 lbs in three months! YAY!!!
Jul1220118:51 a.m.
Today I woke up feeling really hungry and I had a feeling my weigh-in would be a good result. Every Tuesday for the last three months I get up and before I do anything else (well almost anything else) I get on the scales and record my weight. Today I broke the two stone barrier and feel fantastic about it. I have now lost a total of 31lbs and it feels great.
The extra mileage this week would have helped nudge the weekly 1-2lb weight loss up a little, and it did! 3lbs this week and that is a boost as my weight loss has been slowing down of late and two weeks ago I only lost 1lb and was disappointed.
Anyhow...11lbs to go to reach my target weight.
mmm.......breakfast will not be cereal but cooked this morning I think!!!

JoCompton 'That's fantastic, well done. I've also been trying to lose weight and have gone off the boil a bit recently but back to running means those pounds should come off. I'm a 12 min miler to but I like to think I'm slow and steady and will get faster in time for next year. Good luck with the training and weight loss.' added 12th Jul 2011

Baker001 'I am diabetic so I can put weight on very easily. However I can also lose it if the portions are smaller and there is more protein than carbs. i know you need carbs for energy but I have ditched potatoes only have small portions of brown pasta once a week but have loads and loads of veg. it's hard but we can motivate each other.' added 14th Jul 2011

peterb 'I'm trying to cut down on carbs , just 2 slices of toast in a morning, none for the rest of the day, just fruit veg and protein , fish or chicken , 3rd day today....' added 14th Jul 2011

juliebee 'peterb - article in RunnersWorld online this month about losing weight reminds us what we sometimes forget - if the body thinks it is starving it will hold on to what it has ... If I plateau when trying to lose a few pounds, I jazz it up a bit and eat more for a couple of days, may just be a jacket potato for supper or porridge AND yoghurt for brekkie and then go back to my usual generally lower carb amounts - might be psychological but it works for me :) ' added 16th Jul 2011

Tonypminter 'Juliebee My old habit was to skip breakfast and have just a coffee. Thinking going into the day with an empty stomach was beneficial. Wrong! Despite not always feeling like breakfast I eat it now. And it hasn't stopped me losing weight in fact I do think it helps. It wasn't easy to change years of eating habits but I trust my new eating habits now and I feel better too! ' added 16th Jul 2011
