Well there is the proof you can run a sub 3:30 on three runs a week only covering a weekly mileage of 28.7 miles per week for 15 weeks,To think i ran a 3:27 last year on 60 per week mind it was hotter though. The run went to plan as i new i was good for that time so i ran it well.I met a runner from my club called micky and ran from mile 2 to 22 with him and then told him to go for it,he beat me by 2 mins all credit to him that was his first marathon for 10 years, but his pb is 2:45 ish in his day a great runner.Well back to me i ran steady alway, first 21 miles were easy, but the rain was hard for a while as caused my quads to stiffen up a bit but was a great day and my 8th london, next year my big event is uk ironman if all goes well in half ironman in july.Four weeks i got my first triathlon in alnwick week later first open water triathlon in keswick so no break for me.Here is summary of my splits of marathon.
10k 49:21
half 1:45
finish 3:29:21.

Nige1 'andaz. great job on reduced mileage, although to be fair the bike, swim and track sessions never sounded that easy to me. All the best for the triathlons and inevitably number 14 cannot be that long away. cheers. Nige' added 14th Apr 2008
