Bun of Steel

Jun30201111:49 a.m.

Hi.

Well my running-with-orthotics experiment is going well so far, but I need to up the distance from this weekend so will get more feedback from the knee then.

Until then, just an explanation of the exercises recommended.  I will have to concentrate on these few, because if I tried to do all of the hundreds of running exercises that I have seen in magazines, I would spend my life doing them.

So, for glutes I've got a resistance band exercise - much like this one:

For hip abductors, I have an exercise tube which is held in the arms, and crossed in a figure of 8 down under the feet - then walk sideways.  This is a toughie.

Finally (in addition to squats) there is something called a Bulgarian split squat -  a bit like this http://youtu.be/tmkKqMDupLU

That works !

So, I hope to have two buns of steel soon instead of one.  It all helps the knees apparently !

Rgds...
