I've got the dead of winter blues

Snow plus freezing temperatures = carbs and lethargy.
Prospect of writing blog with nothing to report = motivation to run for 25 minutes.
Now I feel good about myself. Never mind that I had four slices of toast and two pieces of (home-made) shortbread throughout the day, I've done some exercise so I'm still on track.
On the food front, I really am becoming the Queen of Carbs - and not necessarily the good kind, either. This week, I took a sudden dislike to vegetables - normally I love them - and began craving Cadbury Twirls. In fact, there's one calling to me from the cupboard downstairs... but that's where it's staying for now.
As for water, I just can't be bothered, I'd rather have a coffee. All this will change, however, when the weather gets milder and my race day gets nearer. The motivation to be fit and healthy is still there, it just needs a good shake from time to time. Roll on Spring!
