Time flies when you are having fun!

Goodness, it has been a month since I have blogged on here!!
Well, I find this training quite frustrating because I don't really 'know' any marathon runners. I like answers to questions I have, not the standard "it is all down to the individual." I want to know that I am doing fine, well, needs improving.... must be the teacher in me.
I'm enjoying it at the moment. Breathing and heart rate were fine but was feeling it in my legs. They seem to have caught up now and feel surprisingly spritely after doing 7 miles. This doesn't always bode well for me though, because then I want to do 9, 11, 13.... the whole 26.2 NOW!
My first do for my fundraising is happening this weekend so wish me luck :o)

Dungey 'Have you thought about joining a running club? They are good for advice on training. Being a teacher you will know that you need to understand something before moving on, same with your body and legs. It needs to get used to 7 miles before moving to 9, 11, etc. Dont rush, injuries will start. Good luck with the fundraising' added 15th Nov 2010

Jenny1961 'I didn't know any runners at all BeckyLou when I started running. I also made loads of mistakes in my training for my first marathon! Since then I've learnt loads more- read lots, got to know runners, listened to my body...all sorts. Dungey is right- its so easy to want to do more when you are feeling good! Consolidate what you've gained first ! I've also had to eat a lot of humble pie over these last few years---the more I think I know best, the more I realise I know nowt!' added 15th Nov 2010
