Happy Valentines Day!

Getting more miles under my belt now...

Went for a 9.33 mile run this morning.  Any runner will know why I've been so exact in quoting the mileage, because each stride is earned with pain and sweat!  The first 3 miles were harder than the rest, strangely enough, the more I pushed on the lower my HR came down.  I still don't feel like a "proper" runner though.  This was the longest training run I've done so far in all of my training and physiologically I felt good.  My legs didn't feel as tired as they have in the past and my calf feels great!  This is such a relief; that calf injury knocked my confidence.  Running long distances worried me greatly because it has taken me so long to get better.

My running mentor and special friend reassured me that I would be fine and thanks to them I'm getting my "bottle" back.  I really respect their judgement and advice, which I'm eternally grateful for.

This week I registered for the Kilomathon on 14th March, which I will be running with @JamieVJB and @ukgirlontherun.  @nimblerunner is running it too, but I'm sure he'll be miles ahead of me!  Just hope that I don't hold them back.

Thanks for reading my ramblings.

Later taters!
