now a resident of norwich

Nov0520097:21 p.m.

So the move to norwich was tough, over 1000 miles driven and tonnes of stuff moved and im not getting settled into norwich life.

The walk into town is about 1 mile and lucky for me and the training my house is up a massive hill so my legs feel tired everyday after many trips to town and back. Im on the hunt for the swimming pool tomorrow and have nbeen doing walking the last three days. slowly but surely im getting better, i notice small changes to how knackered i feel after long walks (although i sweat just as much!) My swimming partner died two days ago so ive been feeling sad about that, put together with sorting out the new house, finding work etc its been very busy. tonight im giving myself some chocolate and tv, back out power walking tomorrow.

hope everyone is feeling good

  • Suziewee 'Hi Jo, you lucky thing I love Norwich. My husband grew up there and we go back once or twice a year, I love the place so much and would love to live there one day. I hope you find your bearings soon, as I still manage to get completely lost there, but it is beautiful. Oooh and you are so close to the gorgeous coastline, walking on those wide open beaches in the winter is my most favourite thing. If you get the chance to, go up to the North coast tis beautiful. I am sorry to hear about your swimming partner, how sad for you, life can be a bummer sometimes, with all the stress of moving etc..I hope you have a lovely evening of chocolate and TV its good for the soul, and maybe get out again tomorrow. Good luck with the training and exploring Norwich x' added 5th Nov 2009

  • Keith_L 'Yeah agree with Gravy - thought Norwich was pretty flat... Glad the move went well - and you are settled in Norfolk - its a lovely county and I bet some great long runs just outside town' added 5th Nov 2009
