Sorry!

Jan11201011:10 a.m.

Hey. First of all the reason why I haven't been able to update my blog since starting it really and it's a pretty rubbish excuse really but i've simply been too busy during the christmas period. I have kept up with some training but maybe not as much as I would of hoped for.

Last week however was the start of my marathon programme and, typically, something gets in the way...snow! If you haven't noticed (where you from? I want to go there) its been awful weather and although I had managed runs in the soft, virgin snow; now it's been compacted and thawed itll be suicide to run around my area now. I am going to the gym today though to get my long run from Sunday out of the way. I have not been on a dreadmill for longer then 5 minutes for over 3 years yet I can still remember the boredom til this day. I am just hoping that by the time of my next long run the paths are clear.

More positive news, i'm in the Great Manchester 10k. The run is 2 weeks after the marathon so it'll be a good race to get back to running after the rest. This will be the 1st year that I won't be doing it for a charity; my friends will already be fed up with me asking for money at that point!

New Year Resolutions:

  1. Keep training
  2. Be positive
  3. Stop laughing at people falling off sledges (Failed)
  4. Win the lottery (Failed..in advance)

  • chrislee_88 'Chris, as i've already gave up on winning the lottery I think my 2nd resolution is a fail too lol. Euro Millions is the lottery to go for! £90 mill will set me up nicely. ' added 11th Jan 2010
